Akulu Lipenga

My name is Akulu Lipenga, and I am an artist, illustrator, character designer, and animator based in Malawi, a country rich in culture and creativity. My journey into art started with a Fine Arts degree, which gave me a strong foundation. Over time, I built on this through self- teaching and a deep passion for exploration. I co-founded Zaluso Arts, a creative collective that shaped my early career by exposing me to different art forms and ideas. After several years there, I decided to focus on my personal artistic growth, diving into projects that helped me refine my unique style and discover my creative voice. At the core of my work is a desire to tell meaningful stories and create art that connects with people. Through every project, I aim to bring fresh perspectives to the evolving world of visual storytelling, guided by my cultural roots and imagination.
